Owner posts Craigslist ad threatening to kill dog if not picked up by end of day

A dog owner posted a Craigslist ad Saturday threatening to shoot his dog if nobody took it by the end of the day, Fox2Now.com reported.

Missouri resident Liz Pendleton was shocked by the ad and decided to drive from University City, Mo., to Illinois to pick up the dog.

“In the description it said they had no use for the dog and if no one came and got it they would shoot,” Pendleton told Fox2Now.com. “There was no question I was going to get that dog.”

Pendleton said she cannot care for the dog permanently, but is hoping that someone will contact her to adopt him.

“He deserves love and much more than he has been getting,” she said.
