Ga. probes earlier death after body found in well
ATLANTA – Authorities who charged a Georgia man with killing his third wife are now re-examining the shooting death of his first spouse in 1990.
James Lynn Jr. is charged with killing Tonya Faye Lynn, whose body was discovered in a well in north Georgia on Friday.
Agent Jim Fullington from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Tuesday authorities are now doing a "preliminary review" of the death of Lynn's first wife, Julie Johnson Lynn. He says the probe will determine whether authorities will reopen the case.
Julie Lynn died in 1990 from a single gunshot wound to her head, and medical examiners ruled her death a suicide.
James Lynn's second wife divorced him.
