VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – Three California beaches along coastal Vandenberg Air Force Base have been closed because of a shark attack.
A statement posted on the Vandenberg website Friday says the attack was not fatal but gives no details of the incident.
The attack occurred a quarter-mile north of Wall Beach, which will be closed along with Surf and Minuteman beaches until 4 p.m. Sunday.
Vandenberg is in Santa Barbara County about 130 miles northwest of Los Angeles.
