Baltimore police are identifying four officers on administrative duties days after officials say officers shot a man who ran from them into an auto repair shop.

Police announced Friday that the four officers involved are Sgt. Alfredo Santiago and officers Lane Eskins, Catherine Filippou and Israel Lopez. A police spokesman said he didn't have details about how many officers fired their weapons or what prompted them to do so.

Police say the armed man was pointed out to officers who were investigating a car wreck Sunday in northwest Baltimore. Police say the officers chased the man into a garage, went inside and shot the man. Police say they recovered a handgun.

Authorities say the man was taken to a hospital in critical condition and was in stable condition Friday.
