2nd 15-year-old boy arrested in killing of a Philadelphia dog walker in a botched robbery

PHILADELPHIA – A second 15-year-old boy wanted in the slaying of a Philadelphia man who was out walking his dog has been arrested.

Authorities say the teenager turned himself in on a murder charge early Friday. Another 15-year-old boy is charged with murder in the case, and a 14-year-old boy is in custody on lesser charges.

They are accused of killing 51-year-old James Stuhlman on March 12. He was the owner of a suburban landscaping company who took nightly walks with his dog, a labradoodle named Molly.

Homicide Capt. James Clark says the three boys were playing basketball when they decided to rob someone. Clark says Stuhlman pleaded for his life, saying, "Please don't shoot me. Please don't shoot me."

The Associated Press generally does not identify juveniles charged with crimes.
