St. Paul, MN – The NHL on Friday handed Minnesota Wild defenseman Nate Prosser a one-game suspension for head-butting Chicago's Jamal Mayers on Thursday.
He will miss the Wild's season finale against Phoenix on Saturday for the incident, which occurred at the 18:19 mark of the first period.
Prosser will forfeit $3,864.86 under the terms of the NHL collective bargaining agreement. The money will go to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
