The Detroit Tigers activated outfielder Austin Jackson from the 15-day disabled list Friday and optioned outfielder Avisail Garcia to Triple-A Toledo.

Jackson was hitting .272 with two home runs and 11 runs batted in through 34 games before a strained right hamstring forced him to the DL on May 12.

The 26-year-old center fielder is expected to return to his role as the leadoff hitter when the Tigers open a three-game series Friday in Minnesota.

Garcia batted .288 with a pair of homers and 10 RBI in 24 games during Jackson's stint on the DL.

Also on Friday, the Tigers agreed to terms with 19 players from last week's First-Year Player Draft, including first-round pick (20th overall) pitcher Jonathon Crawford.
