Osaka, Japan (SportsNetwork.com) - Samantha Stosur and Eugenie Bouchard won semifinal matches Saturday and will meet for the title at the Japan Women's Open.
The third-seeded Stosur needed just 61 minutes to dispose of sixth-seeded American Madison Keys, 6-1, 6-2, while the fifth-seeded Bouchard eased past Japanese wild card Kurumi Nara, 6-2, 6-2.
Stosur won this title in 2009 and was the runner-up in 2011. She saved all three break points against her serve and broke serve four times on Saturday to reach her second final of 2013.
The Aussie won the U.S. Open tune-up at Carlsbad in August for her fourth career title and will enter Sunday's match just 4-12 all-time in finals.
Bouchard will play in her first career final. She had previously lost in the semifinals at Strasbourg in May and also at Quebec City in September.
The 19-year-old Canadian, who broke serve five times on Saturday, has played Stosur just once previously. It was in Charleston earlier this year and Bouchard was comfortably ahead when Stosur retired in the second set with a calf injury.
Sunday's winner will collect a first prize of $40,000.
