Spears ousted at Alcorn State

Lorman, MS – Melvin Spears Jr. has been fired as the head football coach at Alcorn State.

Spears, who had been on administrative leave for more than two months, saw the Braves stumble to a 2-8 record this past season.

Alcorn State also announced Friday that Patric David Simon will serve as the new athletic director.
