Amsterdam, Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - Lasse Schone netted a hat trick on Sunday to lead Ajax Amsterdam to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Heerenveen at the Amsterdam ArenA.

Coming off a 1-1 draw against Zwolle last Sunday, the league leaders wasted no time grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck as Schone buried his first goal of the day just 12 minutes into proceedings.

Six minutes later it was 2-0 for the home side after Schone smashed home a second penalty kick, and he completed his hat trick with a third goal, this time from the run of play, eight minutes from time to wrap up all three points.

The result sees Ajax improve its margin atop the Eredivisie to four points over second-place Twente, while Heerenveen remain in sixth place on 36 points.

Elsewhere in the Eredivisie on Sunday, Martijn Barto scored on either side of the intermission to go with a goal from Marcel Ritzmaier as Cambuur Leeuwarden came away with a 3-1 victory over Zwolle.

Tjaronn Chery netted the only goal of the match to hand FC Groningen a slim 1-0 win over Go Ahead Eagles, while Darryl Janmaat and Rydell Poepon traded goals as 10-man NAC held on to claim a point in a 1-1 draw with Feyenoord.
