Rome, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Roma and Inter Milan did little to help their ambitions on Saturday as the two sides played to a 0-0 draw at the Stadio Olimpico.

The result leaves Roma eight points back of leaders Juventus, which faces AC Milan on Sunday, while Inter resides in fifth place but is just two points clear of Hellas Verona.

Roma created the better chances in the match, but Inter held its own and in the end left the Italian capital with a point that extends its unbeaten streak to four games.

Mattia Destro thought he gave Roma the lead in the 32nd minute when his shot came back off the post and went on off of goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, only for the linesman's flag to rescue the netminder as it was raised for offsides.

Gervinho proved dangerous on the wing for Roma, yet some desperate defending from Inter was able to thwart any threat he provided, while the Nerazzurri's best opportunity came in the first half on a header from Rodrigo Palacio that sailed just over the crossbar.
