St. Petersburg, FL – The Tampa Bay Rays have avoided year contract.
The 35-year-old right-hander went 3-4 with six saves and a 2.93 earned run average with the Rays in 2011. He tied for second among American League relievers with 71 appearances.
Peralta has compiled an 8-15 record with a 3.99 ERA in 331 career games with the Angels, Royals, Rockies, Nationals and Rays.
