Rangers continues its bid to maintain game unbeaten streak in SPL play.

United has won its last three games and has gone four matches without yielding a goal, while Rangers will be returning to league play for the first time since a 2-1 defeat to Hearts on March 3.

The Old Firm derby awaits next weekend for Gers, and manager Ally McCoist knows it will be tough for his side to hang on to second place over the remainder of the season.

"We're going for second place. It's really important we do that but we know it is going to be tough," the boss said.

"Our squad is threadbare at the moment and we're up against things a little bit but it's time to turn up and show what we can do. That's exactly what we will do, starting tomorrow."

While Rangers has endured its share of issues off the field, United has moved into fourth place and will be trying to snap a string of four successive defeats against the Glasgow side.

Also on Saturday, third-place Motherwell hosts Aberdeen with the Steelmen sitting three points behind Rangers for second place, while St Johnstone brings a three-match unbeaten streak into its contest at St Mirren.

Sunday's lone game features sixth-place Hearts entertaining 11th-place Hibernian with Hibs sitting four points clear of last-place Dunfermline.
