Radwanska cruises into third round at Stanford

Stanford, CA – Top-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland cruised to a straight-set victory Wednesday in second-round action at the Bank of the West Classic.

Radwanska was awarded a first-round bye, but showed no signs of rust, needing just 1 hour, 24 minutes to dispose of Italy's Francesca Schiavone, 6-4, 6-3.

Varvara Lepchenko awaits Radwanska in the third round after the sixth-seeded American straight-setted Tamira Paszek 6-4, 6-4.

Fifth-seeded Sorana Cirstea of Romania also advanced in straight sets Wednesday, ousting American qualifier Coco Vandeweghe by a 6-3, 6-3 count.

The winner of this tournament will receive $125,000.
