Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Top seed Ksenia Pervak and reigning round winners at the $220,000 Tashkent Open.
Pervak handled Kazakhstan's Galina Voskoboeva 6-2, 7-5, while the sixth-seeded Kudryavtseva continued her winning ways here with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over fellow Russian Vesna Dolonts on the hardcourts at Olympic Tennis School.
Up next for Pervak will be Uzbekistanian wild card Sabina Sharipova, while Kudryavtseva will take on compatriot Vitalia Diatchenko.
Kudryavtseva topped Elena Vesnina in last year's all-Russian Tashkent finale.
One other seed moved on Tuesday, as No. 5 Slovakian Magdalena Rybarikova overcame Uzbekistanian wild card Nigina Abduraimova 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 6-3, while upsets came when Greek Eleni Daniilidou downed third-seeded Frenchwoman Pauline Parmentier 7-5, 6-1 and Uzbekistan's own Akgul Amanmuradova erased No. 8 Frenchwoman Aravane Rezai 6-4, 6-3.
Additional first-round wins came for the aforementioned Sharipova, Czech Eva Birnerova, Serbian qualifier Aleksandra Krunic, Poland's Urszula Radwanska, and French qualifier Victoria Larriere.
The newest Tashkent champion will collect $37,000.
