Penske's No. 22 team penalized for Dover violations

Daytona Beach, FL – NASCAR handed down penalties on Tuesday to Penske Racing's No. 22 team in the Nationwide Series for a rules infraction that occurred this past Saturday at Dover International Speedway.

Joey Logano's race-winning car failed post-race inspection when officials discovered the front was too low.

Crew chief Jeremy Bullins was fined $10,000 and team owner Roger Penske received a loss of six championship car owner points.

Penske will not appeal the penalty.

"The Penske Racing No. 22 Ford Mustang had a spring retaining screw back out during Saturday's Nationwide Series race, which resulted in the car's front end being too low by 1/16 of an inch when presented for post-race inspection," the team said in a statement.
