Foxboro, MA – New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo has year contract extension.
The Boston Herald was one of several media sources to report the deal.
Mayo, a 2008 first-round draft pick, has a pair of interceptions and a forced fumble in 11 games this season. He topped the NFL in tackles last season.
