The Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with defenseman Darnell Nurse on a three-year, entry-level contract.

Nurse was the seventh overall selection in this year's draft.

The 18-year-old Nurse had 12 goals and 29 assists to go along with 116 penalty minutes in 68 games with the Ontario Hockey League's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds last season. He added one goal and three assists in six playoff games.

The 6-foot-5, 192-pounder was awarded for his stellar season with the OHL's Scholastic Player of the Year.
