NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York Rangers captain Chris Drury will undergo knee surgery and is expected to be out of the line-up for about six weeks, the team said on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old forward, who missed the Rangers' last two games, had fluid drained from his knee last Friday.

Drury, who signed with the Rangers as a free agent in 2007, has played in only 23 games this season due to a broken finger and the injured left knee.

He has no goals and four assists this season. A date for the surgery has not been determined.
