Carmel, IN – Rory McIlory closed with a 5-under 67 on Sunday to rally to win his second straight FedExCup playoff title at the BMW Championship.
McIlroy, who win the Deutsche Bank Championship last week by a stroke, finished at 20-under-par 268, which was good for a 2-stroke win.
The PGA Champion won for the fourth time this season and sixth time in his PGA Tour career.
Lee Westwood carded a 3-under 69 to finish alongside Phil Mickelson in second place at minus-18. Mickelson posted a 2-under 70 in the final round and heads to the Tour Championship ranked fourth on the FedExCup points list.
The top five on the points list would win the FedExCup with a win at the Tour Championship, regardless of what anyone else does in two weeks at East Lake.
Tiger Woods (68) and Robert Garrigus (69) shared fourth at 17-under-par 271. Adam Scott and Dustin Johnson both carded 70s on Sunday and they tied for sixth at minus-16 at Crooked Stick.
Vijay Singh, who shared the third-round lead with Mickelson, stumbled to a 1- over 73 to end alone in eighth at minus-15.
