The Seattle Mariners claimed outfielder Scott Cousins from the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old Cousins split last season between Triple-A New Orleans and the Miami Marlins. He batted just .163 in 53 games with the Marlins a year ago.

Over the course of his three-year major league career, Cousins is a .183 hitter with two homers and nine RBI.
