PARIS - Reims scored two goals in the final 10 minutes to upset Bordeaux 2-1 Sunday in the French league while Saint-Etienne lost at Toulouse by the same scoreline.

After Whabi Khazri put the hosts ahead in the 42nd minute, Bordeaux could not hold on to its lead as Nicolas De Preville leveled with ten minutes remaining. Theoson Jordan Siebatcheu scored the winner in the 88th to seal Reims' first win at Bordeaux in 40 years.

Toulouse recovered from a goal down to upset St Etienne 2-1 on the opening weekend of the new Ligue 1 season.

St Etienne, who finished fifth last term, took a 17th minute lead through long-serving centre-back Loic Perrin's header from a Romain Hamouma corner.

Having only avoided relegation by one place last season, Toulouse must have feared the worst at that point but they were on level terms within 10 minutes thanks to Denmark striker Martin Braithwaite's 25-yard free-kick.

Wissam Ben Yedder, who scored seven goals in Toulouse's last 13 Ligue 1 games in 2014/15, then put the hosts in front after 53 minutes from another dead-ball situation and they held on for the win, despite losing striker Aleksandar Pesic to a red card with four minutes to go.

Last season's runner-up Lyon opens their campaign later Sunday against Lorient.
