New York Giants starting middle linebacker Jonathan Goff has a torn ACL and will miss the upcoming season.

The Giants haven't made an official announcement, but a league source confirmed the injury Tuesday to The Sports Network.

Goff, who was entering his fourth NFL season, became a full-time starter last year and recorded 80 tackles and one sack.

The 25-year-old Vanderbilt product joins cornerback Terrell Thomas, defensive tackle Marvin Austin and linebacker Clint Sintim on injured reserve.

Former Giants linebacker Kawika Mitchell was expected to be signed, according to reports.
