Arlington, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Joey Gallo finished a triple shy of the cycle in his major league debut as the Texas Rangers romped to a 15-2 win over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game series.

Drafted by Texas with the 39th overall pick in 2012, Gallo made his debut in place of injured third baseman Adrian Beltre and went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, four RBI and three runs scored.

"I didn't expect it to be that good of a night," said Gallo. "So it's pretty amazing and still hasn't really hit me yet. I'm just glad this is out of the way now."

Carlos Corporan clubbed a three-run homer and drove in five and Shin-Soo Choo added a solo blast and two RBI for the Rangers, who have won their last four. Colby Lewis (5-3) allowed two runs on six hits in seven innings for the win.

Adam Eaton hit a two-run homer for the White Sox, who have lost three of their last five. Jeff Samardzija (4-3) was tagged for nine runs on 12 hits in just five-plus innings.

"He might not have had his best stuff tonight but we didn't help him out," said Eaton about Samardzija. "He's a great competitor and we always want him out there, but it was just one of those nights for him."

Gallo's first at-bat came with the bases loaded in the first inning and he stroked a two-run single to right. Leonys Martin added a two-run single two batters later for a 4-0 lead.

Eaton's homer in the third got the White Sox on the board, but Gallo got the runs back in the third as he smacked his first career home run after Elvis Andrus walked for a 6-2 advantage.

Choo's solo homer in the fourth made it a five-run game, and the Rangers added four more in the sixth.

Choo singled home a run before Prince Fielder's groundout plated another. After Gallo was retired for the first time in the game on a strike out with the bases loaded again, Corporan punched a two-run single to right for an 11-2 lead.

Andrus brought home a run with a triple in the eighth, and Corporan hit his three-run homer later in the inning to account for the final score.
