PHILADELPHIA (AP) - The Flyers will have their captain for Game 7.
Mike Richards avoided any discipline Monday from the league for his punishing hit on Buffalo center Tim Connolly. Richards will be ready to go when the Flyers play the Sabres in Game 7 of their first-round playoff series Tuesday night.
The Sabres should have center Derek Roy in the lineup. Roy hasn't played since Dec. 23 with a leg injury. Sabres coach Lindy Ruff hinted on Monday that Roy might not be ready to play. But Roy says he'll be in the lineup.
Connolly isn't so lucky. He'll miss Game 7 after Richards shoved him head first into the boards. Richards was penalized for boarding. The Sabres wanted a suspension.
Sabres goalie Ryan Miller says Richards has delivered two of the "dirtiest" hits in the series.
