Mardy Fish and John Isner will lead the United States against host France in a Davis Cup quarterfinal next week at the famed Monte Carlo Country Club.

The best-of-five affair will be staged on red clay.

The world No. 8 Fish and 10th-ranked Isner will be joined by Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, the twin brothers who comprise the No. 1 doubles team in the world. A currently 34th-ranked Andy Roddick was left off the team by captain Jim Courier.

Team France will feature world No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and No. 14 Gael Monfils, as well as doubles specialists Julien Benneteau and Michael Llodra. All four Frenchmen are ranked inside the top 50 on the ATP World Tour.

The French are captained by long-time mentor Guy Forget.

The 32-time champion U.S. is 8-7 all-time versus nine-time winner France, as the two storied Davis Cup nations first met back in 1905. The Americans last won the title in 2007, while the French last hoisted the chalice in 2001.

In their last meeting, the U.S. topped France 4-1 in a 2008 quarterfinal.

Team USA stunned a Roger Federer-led host Swiss squad 5-0 in Fribourg last month. The 6-foot-9 Isner shocked Federer in four sets in the second opening singles rubber.

The United States-France winner will advance to the semifinals to face either reigning champion Spain or Austria.
