London, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Roger Federer played some strong tennis in winning his fourth-round match Tuesday at Wimbledon.

The fourth-seeded Swiss great eased into his 12th quarterfinal at the All England Club by handling 23rd-seeded Spaniard Tommy Robredo 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 on the No. 1 Court. Federer exacted a bit of revenge, having lost to Robredo in the fourth round at last year's U.S. Open.

The precise Federer failed to drop even one point on his first serve in the second set, and as he has all fortnight long, the elegant Swiss has yet to drop his serve at all.

Federer dismissed the former top-10 star Robredo in a mere 1 hour, 34 minutes to improve to 71-8 lifetime at The Championships. The iconic star fired 11 aces and broke Robredo four times en route to the finish line on Day 8.

The 32-year-old Federer awaits the winner between Australian Open champion and fellow Swiss Stan Wawrinka and hot Spaniard Feliciano Lopez, who is 12-1 on grass this year, including a title in Eastbourne two weeks ago and a runner-up finish at The Queen's Club in London the week before that.

Federer is the men's all-time leader with 17 Grand Slam titles, including seven Wimbledon crowns. He was also a runner-up here in 2008.
