The Philadelphia Eagles released linebacker Jamar Chaney and safety Kenny Phillips to get down to 76 players.

Chaney was taken by the Eagles in the seventh round of the 2010 draft. The Mississippi State product played in 44 games (23 starts) over three seasons with Philadelphia, recording 158 tackles, one sack and three interceptions.

The Eagles rolled the dice on the oft-injured Phillips in the offseason. Phillips, who struggled with knee injuries the past few years, couldn't get on the field in recent weeks because of a quad injury.

Phillips played with the Giants from 2008-2012.
