The New Jersey Devils have agreed to a three- year contract with defenseman Bryce Salvador.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but the Newark Star-Ledger reported the deal for the unrestricted free agent to be worth $9.5 million.

Salvador missed the entire 2010-11 season with a concussion and returned this past year to play all 82 games. He managed only nine assists, but his plus-18 rating was the best mark on the team.

The 36-year-old veteran had a strong playoff run as New Jersey reached the Stanley Cup Finals, notching four goals and 10 assists in 24 games.

Salvador has spent four seasons with New Jersey after playing seven years with St. Louis. He has 23 goals and 79 assists for 102 points in 692 games.
