Chattanooga, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Defense dominated at the Chattanooga football team's spring game as the White team beat the Blue, 6-0, Saturday at Finley Stadium.

Henrique Ribeiro was 2-for-3 on field goals, connecting from 23 and 35 yards for the only points of the 110-play scrimmage.

Alejandro Bennifield, the offensive MVP, spent time on both teams, going 4- for-4 passing for 30 yards for the White team.

Defensive MVP Dale Warren led the White while tying for the game high with six tackles.

"I thought the offense was very vanilla today, which benefited the defense," Mocs coach Russ Huesman said. "I thought defensively, we rushed the passer really well today. We are not evaluating whether the offense scored 50 or if the defense shut them out. We are evaluating individuals. Dale Warren looked good today. I thought (defensive end) Keionta Davis was good in his limited snaps."

Tim Whatley added six tackles and an interception - the game's only turnover - for the White. Davis had three quarterback hurries for the Blue.

Starting quarterback Jacob Huesman, the 2014 Southern Conference offensive player of the year, played for the White, completing 5-of-13 passes for 62 yards while adding 19 yards on two carries.

Chattanooga, which went unbeaten in the SoCon last season, reached the FCS national quarterfinals and finished with a 10-4 record and No. 8 final ranking in The Sports Network FCS Top 25.

The Mocs will play 11 regular-season games this year, opening the campaign on Sept. 5 by hosting Jacksonville State.
