New York, NY – MLS fined FC Dallas defender Jair Benitez and Los Angeles Galaxy forward Robbie Keane on Friday.
Benitez was punished for his "act of embellishment which brought the game into disrepute" in a game against Seattle Sounders FC on Sunday. Keane was punished for public "criticism of officials" after a match Sunday against the San Jose Earthquakes.
The amounts of the fines were not disclosed.
