Chicago's Lillibridge breaks hand, done for season

Chicago White Sox utilityman Brent Lillibridge 1 win over Cleveland and will miss the rest of the season.

In the seventh inning with Josh Judy on the mound, Lillibridge was hit by a pitch in the right hand. He remained in the game and ran the bases, but was pulled after the inning.

An X-ray revealed a fracture in the outer part of his hand.

"We feel bad for Lillibridge cause he's been having a great year," said White Sox designated hitter Paul Konerko.

He finished his fourth season in the majors with a career-high 13 home runs, 29 RBI, a .258 average and 38 runs scored in 97 games. All of those are career highs.
