Cardinals' Mathieu leaves on cart

Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Arizona Cardinals rookie safety Tyrann Mathieu was carted off the field Sunday's game with the St. Louis Rams with an apparent leg injury.

Mathieu fielded a free kick following a safety and was awkwardly tackled to the ground. He attempted to run off to the sideline, but fell to the ground in pain as he approached the bench.

Mathieu remained on the ground in pain until he was loaded into a cart and taken to the locker room.
