The Boston Bruins announced that forward Gregory Campbell will not return to Wednesday's Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals.

The club declined to elaborate on the nature of the injury, but it appeared to be a leg issue stemming from Campbell sliding feet-first to block a slap shot from Pittsburgh's Evgeni Malkin during a Penguins power play just after the midway point of the second period.

Campbell limped through the remainder of his shift before leaving the ice and heading to the locker room for evaluation.
