Forward Brandon Davies is back on BYU's men's basketball team, nearly six months after he was dismissed for a violation of the school's honor code.

Davies was a key part of the Cougars' success this past season, but on March 1 the university announced it made him ineligible for the remainder of the season after learning of an undisclosed infraction.

But Friday, BYU announced Davies was readmitted to the school, has enrolled for classes for the fall semester, and has been reinstated to the team.

"I'm excited to be back at BYU and look forward to the future," Davies said in a statement. "I'm grateful for this opportunity."

Davies started 26 games last season, when he was a sophomore, and averaged 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists. With star Jimmer Fredette and guard Jackson Emery gone, he is BYU's top returning scorer.
