Englewood, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The season is officially over for Denver Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan.

The Broncos placed Trevathan on injured reserve Tuesday, two days after he suffered a dislocated left kneecap in his return from a two-month absence.

Trevathan, who led the Broncos with 129 tackles last year, suffered the injury during Sunday's win over San Diego after playing just 42 snaps.

He had returned from a left knee injury that kept him off the field for eight games.

Trevathan also missed the first three weeks of the season with a broken left tibia. He ended with just 11 tackles in three games.

The Broncos waived tight end Dominique Jones on Tuesday.
