Milwaukee, WI – Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks underwent successful surgery on his left hamstring on Thursday.
The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews. Rehabilitation is expected to take 4-6 months.
Weeks was placed on the 15-day disabled list last Thursday. He suffered the injury the day before while running to first base.
The 30-year-old ended the season with a .209 batting average, 10 home runs, 24 RBI and seven stolen bases in 104 games.
