Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Khris Davis was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday because of a knee injury.

Davis suffered torn meniscus in his right knee during Saturday's game while striking out in the first inning. He will likely undergo surgery early next week.

The 27-year-old veteran was hitting .250 with five homers and 16 runs batted in this season. He belted 22 homers and knocked in 69 runs last year.

Milwaukee filled the roster spot by recalling pitcher Tyler Wagner from Double-A Biloxi. Wagner was set to make his major league debut Sunday in a start against Arizona.
