The Blues have signed forward Vladimir Sobotka to a three-year contract extension, the team announced Wednesday.
The 23-year-old forward is coming off a season where he established new career highs in games played (65), points (29), goals (7) assists (22) and penalty minutes (69).
"Vlady is a hard-nosed two-way player that filled many roles for us last season," General Manager Doug Armstrong said in a press release. "His work ethic is an excellent representation of our organization."
He was acquired by the Blues from the Boston Bruins on June 26, 2010 in exchange for the rights to David Warsofsky. Sobotka, a 5-foot-10, 190-pound forward, was originally drafted by Boston in the fourth round of the 2005 Entry Draft.
Sobotka is the sixth player the Blues have re-signed since May 31.
