The Toronto Blue Jays recalled pitchers Aaron Laffey and Evan Crawford from Triple-A Las Vegas and optioned pitcher Chad Beck and infielder Yan Gomes to the minor league team.

Laffey was 3-5 with a 4.52 earned run average in 11 starts with Las Vegas this season. The 27-year-old spent 2011 with Seattle and the New York Yankees, going 3-2 with a 3.88 ERA between the two teams.

Crawford has appeared in eight games with the Jays this year, allowing six runs in 7 1/3 innings.

In three games, Beck has allowed three runs -- two earned -- in 5 1/3 innings this season with Toronto.

Gomes, a native of Brazil, hit .226 with three home runs in 31 at-bats with the Blue Jays this season.
