Avalanche F Porter receives 4-game ban

New York, NY – Colorado Avalanche forward Kevin Porter has been suspended four games for kneeing Vancouver forward David Booth in Tuesday's game.

The incident, which occurred during the first period, resulted in Porter being assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct.

Booth, meanwhile, is expected to miss the next 4-to-6 weeks with a sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee.
