Of all professional athletes, baseball players might just be the quirkiest. From rally-caps, to not stepping on foul lines coming on and off the field, there is no one quite like them.

And apparently, there is no one quite like Angels reliever Cam Bedrosian. The 24-year-old has a strange obsession and he isn't afraid to share it with the world: He loves cats.

That's right, he's a "cat guy." He detailed the obsession to the LA Times Friday.

"People have been giving me crap about it, but I don't really mind," said Bedrosian, a right-handed reliever for the Angels. "I love cats and I've told people that many times. That's my stance on it, and it won't change."

As Bedrosian explained it, his love of felines began back when his father, former Major Leaguer Steve Bedrosian was playing in the bigs, and the family adopted a cat from a shelter. From that point on the adoptions continued with, at least 10 total cats in the family's household through the years, and at least five at a time.

Bedrosian currently has two cats, and explained in simple terms why he loves them so much.

"Cats, they just want to lay on the couch all day and relax," he said. "That's what I like about them. You can just chill with a cat."
