49ers top Cardinals, run win streak to 8

San Francisco, CA – Alex Smith passed for 267 yards and two 7, on Sunday to win their eighth straight game for the first time since 1997.

Smith's touchdown passes to Kyle Williams and Vernon Davis in the third quarter broke the game open, giving the 49ers (9-1) a 23-0 lead. David Akers kicked three field goals in the first half.

John Skelton started his third game in a row for Kevin Kolb, but couldn't get a third straight win, completing just 6-of-19 passes for 99 yards with three interceptions.

Richard Bartel was 8-of-16 in the fourth quarter for the Cardinals (3-7) and threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Larry Fitzgerald.
