Charles Krauthammer told viewers Friday on "Special Report with Bret Baier" that President Obama never planned on getting involved in Syria, even if the Assad regime crossed his "red line" by using chemical weapons.

When the president’s “bluff is called, he has no intention of doing this," Krauthammer said.

"So now the principle you don’t gas people to death disappears, he erases the red line and he hides behind international law.”

When the President was interviewed on CNN's "New Day with Chris Cuomo" he expressed the need for more evidence and questioned if international law supports the findings.

Krauthammer, a syndicated columnist and Fox News contributor, added, "The idea that we ought to have a moral guide, [that it] should be the Security Council (with) the blessing of the butchers of Tiananmen Square, the Chinese; and a dictator in Putin, the Russians, who bit off a chunk of Georgia a couple of years ago, sending in his army; that these are the moral arbiters of what ought to be done in the world is really quite unbelievable.”
