Olivia Sievers, who is German, made a friend for life on a recent trip to Argentina. A flight attendant, Sievers met her four-legged companion during a layover in Buenos Aires.

She encountered the stray outside of her hotel one day earlier this year. She fed and played with him, and from then on he refused to leave her side.

"I tried to change my way because I didn't want him to follow me back to the hotel," she told Noticiero Trece. "But it was not possible. He always came back and followed me. I tried one hour, but he always watched me and followed me. He was really happy that somebody gave him attention."

Sievers named the pup Rubio, gave him an airline blanket and cuddled him for as long as she could during her stays in Buenos Aires. When she was away, Rubio stayed outside the entrance of her hotel, waiting loyally for her to emerge.

Sievers attempted to have Rubio adopted out to someone in Argentina, but he ended up running away and returned to Sievers’ hotel to find his true love.
