Shakira is letting the world know she is going to be a mommy!

The Colombian sensation announced via her website on Wednesday that she and boyfriend, soccer star Gerard Piqué, are having their first baby.

The announcement confirms pregnancy rumors that have been swirling about the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer for months.

“As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!” Shakira posted on her website.

“At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days.”

The newly appointed judge on “The Voice” then apologized to her fans for having to cancel her appearance at the iHeartRadio music Festival in Las Vegas this weekend.

Shakira’s baby bump news comes just one month after entertainment gossip site TV Notas published photos of her and Piqué allegedly entering the maternity section of a clinic in Miami.

The photos show the Colombian singer and her soccer star boyfriend walking into the clinic as Shakira has her hands covering her face.

Despite the photographs, Shakira and Piqué stayed tight-lipped about the pregnancy for weeks, while members of Shakira’s professional team along with her father also denied the rumors.

The rumors began in June when TV Notas reported that, not only was the “Rabiosa” singer allegedly preggers, but also that she and Piqué have already bought a mansion in Barcelona to get settled with their newborn.

Just last month, Colombian magazine Gente claimed that  Shakira and Piqué will become the parents of a baby boy in late January 2013 who they have given the nickname of "Ulicito."
