Over 10 years later, the two found their way back together and tied the knot in July 2022.

Affleck was born on August 15, 1972 in Berkeley, California to parents Chris Anne Boldt and Timothy Byers Affleck. He and his family moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts at a young age and that was where he spent a lot of his childhood. Affleck befriended fellow actor Matt Damon when they were kids and played little league and took acting classes together. The two would go on to remain friends through their adulthood and work on many projects together.

Affleck acted on a PBS miniseries “The Voyage of the Mimi” in 1984 and “The Second Voyage of the Mimi” in 1988. He was also in “Dazed and Confused,” “Mallrats” and “Chasing Amy” at the beginning of his career.

As a young actor, Affleck and Damon were both getting a lot of small roles, so they decided to take things into their own hands and started to write "Good Will Hunting" together. Initially, the script was accepted by Castle Rock, but they were not willing to give the pair the control they wanted to have with the film. The script was ultimately sold to MiraMax and they were given the control they wanted. The film, which the two also starred in was released in 1997 and put the two actors on the map. “Good Will Hunting” was nominated for nine Academy Awards and won two, including the award for best original screenplay.
