A strong area of low pressure will pull away from New England today, but wind gusts across the entire Northeast will increase through the evening.
A few strong storms will develop across the Central Plains later today through tonight, primarily across western Oklahoma. There is a better chance for more widespread severe storms Thursday through Thursday night across the southern Mississippi River Valley.
