The system that brought rain and snow to much of the West over the past several days moves into the Four Corners region and Central Rockies today.

Primarily rain and freezing rain will fall today from the Midwest through the Great Lakes to the interior Northeast and New England.  Some snow will develop across the Upper Midwest and far northern Great Lakes.

On the southern side of this system, heavier rainfall and strong storms may cause flash flooding across the Mississippi and  Ohio River Valleys. Freezing rain, rain, and flooding potential will continue over much of these same regions on Thursday.
