Athens authorities looking for a man accused of breaking into an elementary school said they found him when they used his left behind cell phone to call his mother. Authorities responded to a burglar alarm at Howard B. Stroud Elementary around 11:25 p.m. Monday. According to a police report, officers arrived in time to see a man running through the cafeteria and out the back door.

Police couldn't catch him, but they say he dropped his phone. They grabbed it an called a number marked "Ma" in his contact list.

Police said the woman gave them her son's name.
